About

From the bench to the browser.

Histolayer was Joe Horrigan’s idea: give students the view a pathologists’ assistant has every day, from the specimen on the grossing bench to the slide under the microscope, in one continuous zoom. Chris Henely builds the platform that makes it work.

Chris Henely

Founder, Axiomsy

Chris builds people and processes with a focus on integrity, clarity, and results. He has spent the last decade leading teams in ministry and business, overseeing operations, marketing, and organizational development, and founded Axiomsy to build the systems that let growing organizations scale.

At Histolayer he builds the platform: the viewer, the website, accounts, and the systems that will let schools and practices run it as their own.

What we believe

Honest images, clear teaching.

01

Connect the scales.

Gross anatomy and histology are the same tissue. Students should see them that way.

02

Label everything.

Every image says what it is: an illustration, a real specimen with its credit, or an AI reference.

03

Be careful with accuracy.

Histolayer is for learning, not diagnosis. Content is marked when it hasn’t been expert-reviewed.

04

Built for classrooms.

Fast in any browser, on a laptop, tablet or phone, with nothing to install.
